Building in Public Since Day One
I started Culture Kings in 2008 with my partner Tahnee out of a market stall in Queensland. We had no money, no connections, and no idea what we were doing. What we did have was an obsession with brand, a willingness to work harder than anyone else, and a knack for creating demand where none existed.
Over the next decade, we grew Culture Kings into a global streetwear phenomenon — hundreds of millions in revenue, stores across Australia, and a brand that people tattooed on their bodies. We sold the majority stake in 2021, and I've spent the years since investing in and advising the next generation of founders.
